A major Oldham road has reopened days earlier than expected after emergency repair works were completed.
A stretch of the A62 Manchester Road closed on Friday, January 30, and was due to be closed for 10 days from Junction 22 of the M60 and up to the A62's junction with Drury Lane.
This was due to United Utilities carrying out what it described as "essential" works in order to repair a sewer along the road.

However, the works have now been completed and the road has been reopened several days before the expected reopening date of Sunday, February 8.
A spokesperson for United Utilities said: "The North West’s water company has completed its essential repair work on a sewer along the A62 in Chadderton.
"The road has now fully reopened to traffic. United Utilities would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst these essential works took place."
