Oldham pub wins regional CAMRA title fifth year in a row

The multi-award-winning pub has maintained its title, which is awarded by the local CAMRA branch for Rochdale, Oldham and Bury and voted for by the organisation’s members.

Having only opened in 2020, the pub has gained a strong reputation among the region’s pub and brewing community.

Not only is it regularly featured in CAMRA’s annual Good Beer Guide, but has also won a number of other prestigious awards.

In July, it was named CAMRA’s Greater Manchester pub of the year and also received a nomination in the most-loved pub category for the I Love Manchester awards.

The pub announced its latest win on social media with a poster thanking its customers for their support.

In response, many customers have commented on the post to congratulate the pub.

Melanie Chinn said: “Wahoo our favourite spot and your sausage rolls are epic too. Well deserved.

Helen Antonio-Heap said: “Obvious choice, you have more than earned it year on year. Congratulations.”

Alan Wakefield said: “Best pub about great beer. great staff, the best pies on the planet.”

Oldham Council has also congratulated the pub on its “incredible achievement” with a post on Facebook.

The post reads: “It just goes to show how important our local pubs are to the community. If you can, pop in, show your support and raise a glass to your local.”

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, is a consumer organisation for the UK pub industry, founded in 1971.

It aims to promote British real ale and cider, as well as the important role pubs have in UK communities and heritage.
