A pub is collecting Easter eggs to bring smiles to children.

The Welcome Inn, on Hollins Road, is running an Easter egg appeal for the children’s ward at Royal Oldham Hospital.

To make a difference for young patients and their families during the holidays.

The Welcome Inn said: "Spending Easter in hospital can be incredibly tough for children and their families.

"As a community pub, we wanted to do something that brings a little bit of happiness at a difficult time."

So far, 38 Easter eggs have been donated to the cause.

The pub hopes to collect more in the coming weeks and is encouraging the community to support the appeal.

Supporters can drop off Easter egg donations at The Welcome Inn between 11am and 11pm.
