A man has been jailed following an arson offence which took place at Royal Oldham Hospital.
Abdullah Al-Shamiri, 40, appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court on Wednesday (April 15) to be sentenced for arson reckless as to whether life is endangered.
On January 6, 2024, Al-Shamiri committed the offence on Oak Ward, Royal Oldham Hospital.

Oak Ward is a 22-bed men-only mental health ward in Parklands House, which has several mental health wards.
Al-Shamiri, of no fixed abode, had previously pleaded guilty to the offence at an earlier hearing.
He was sentenced to 40 months, or three years and four months, behind bars.
