Drivers were told to avoid Crompton Way in Shaw last night after the road flooded.
Residents shared the warnings with others on social media, with one woman saying it should be avoided as the flooding was 'dangerous'.
The road had flooded near the Shell garage, just a few metres away from The Big Lamp Roundabout and at the junction of Crompton Way and High Street.

It has not been confirmed what action has been taken to clear the flood.
Images from the scene show the pavement completely underwater and the flood spreading the width of the northbound carriageway.
One person commented on a post that they had 'never seen' the area flood.
