Travellers have set up camp on playing fields in Chadderton yesterday (May 17).
According to images shared with The Oldham Times, around a dozen caravans moved on to Noddy’s Field , located off Cathedral Road, on Sunday evening.
It has been reported that more have since appeared.
One resident has also said that they have seen motorbikes or scramblers being driven around on the site.
In a video shared with The Oldham Times, a quad bike is being driven around the site with a child sat on the driver's knee.
Noddy’s Field is a council-owned playing field that is mainly used for sports but is also a popular walking spot for residents and dog owners.

The representative for Chadderton North, Cllr Jon Ford has posted on Facebook on Sunday, saying that there were a “significant number of caravans” on Noddy’s Field.
He said: “I have immediately reported this to the Community Safety Team and will follow this up urgently with the relevant departments within the Council in the morning.”
Cllr Ford posted an update on this morning (May 18), saying that the council have “confirmed that enforcement action is in progress”.
Oldham Mayor, Cllr Eddie Moores, has also posted a message about the situation on Facebook, stating that he had informed First Response “and the council are taking appropriate steps”.
The traveller way of life often involves moving from place to place, staying in different locations for varying periods of time.
They are protected from discrimination under the Race Relations Act 1976 and the Human Rights Act 1998, alongside all ethnic groups with distinct cultures, languages or values.
If an encampment has been set up on privately owned land, it is the landowner's responsibility to seek eviction.
Oldham Council has been contacted for comment.
