From bungalows to a spa in a church, here are the biggest planning decisions made in Oldham last month.
Bungalows set for plot of land
Several bungalows are set to be built on a parcel of land on an undeveloped area of land in Limeside in Oldham.
In total, four bungalows will be built on land between Oak Road and Walker's Road.
Each of the bungalows will have a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and two bedrooms, with one car parking spot available and a private garden.
The land was described as "undeveloped and grassed" and it was felt the proposal "would involve the use of a vacant site, which would be used to positively contribute to local housing supply".
Historic bridge to be brought back to life
A Grade II listed bridge will be restored to its former glory with the replacement of decorative panels.
Th'Iron Donger Bridge, also known as Scowcroft Bridge, is a disused bridge which used to be part of the Manchester to Leeds railway line.
The bridge was built in 1863 carried the railway line across the Rochdale Canal and towpath between locks 61 and 62, and remains around 500 metres north of Mills Hill Station.
Now, Network Rail is set to restore the historic bridge. which will see the towpath and waterway closed while the works are carried out.
Former church set for 'unique' future
A spa is set to open inside a former Saddleworth church along with a restaurant after plans were approved.
Plans to convert St Paul's Church, on Huddersfield Road, in Scouthead, into a restaurant and spa, with an outdoor swimming pool can go ahead.
It was felt that that the "unique use" within the Saddleworth area will provide an "enhancement" to tourism and recreation in the local area.
The applicant owns businesses in Bury but is now looking to open his next venture in Oldham, with the complex set to be named The Cotton.
