The scores are in — the latest batch of food hygiene ratings for Oldham restaurants, cafes, takeaways and businesses have been revealed.

Environmental health officers from Oldham have been busy this fortnight visiting businesses across the area to see if they are meeting hygiene requirements.

Based on guidelines set by the Food Standards Agency, inspectors look to see how clean the facilities are; what food safety management procedures are in place and how hygienic food handling is.

Ratings are then dished out from five to zero — with the higher score the better the result.

Five — Very Good

The Saddleworth Hotel at Huddersfield Road, OL3 5LX, rated 5 on May 21

San Rocco at 195 Broadway, Chadderton, OL9 8RR, rated 5 on May 17

Sainsbury’s at 60 Union Street, Oldham, OL1 1DJ, rated 5 on May 17
Royton Mini Market at 3 Kingston Drive, Royton, OL2 5XU, rated 5 on May 17

Rushcroft Owls Before & After School Club at Rushcroft Primary School, Trent Road, OL2 7YL, rated 5 on May 17

Four — Good

S Ogden & Sons at 5 Brooklands Parade, Grotton, OL4 4LA, rated 4 on May 21

Businesses may have been reinspected since and this will be reflected in our next round-up.
