The Saddleworth-based luxury ice cream parlour Grandpa Greene’s is heading to Lord’s Cricket Ground this summer.
Starting from June 4, Grandpa Greene’s will be opening a kiosk at the world-famous “home of cricket” in St John’s Wood, London.
The business announced the news on social media, along with what appears to be an AI-generated image of the kiosk.
They said: “Starting Thursday, June 4, and running right through until the end of August, our luxury artisan ice cream will be served to cricket fans from around the world at one of the most iconic sporting venues on the planet.

“It’s amazing to see Grandpa Greene’s represented in the heart of London at such a prestigious venue. Moments like this make us incredibly proud of how far the brand has come.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. We can’t wait to serve thousands of scoops this summer and fly the GG flag at Lord’s.
“If you’re heading to a match this summer, be sure to come and say hello!”
Local fans of the ice cream brand have congratulated Grandpa Greene’s on the news in the comment section, with one person even enquiring about ‘discounts for Saddleworth residents’.
Grandpa Greene’s ice cream currently has two permanent locations – a parlour-cafe in Diggle and parlour-bistro on St George’s playing field in Uppermill – and also sells its products wholesale to restaurants and other businesses.
