Oldham Athletic remain in talks with veteran striker Joe Garner about a new deal.
The former Preston, Rangers and Ipswich front man has been offered new terms after last year agreeing consecutive six-month deals following promotion from the National League.
Garner played a significant role in Latics' return to the Football League, after becoming the only player to score in each of the three National League play-off games.
And as manager Micky Mellon looks to build on an impressive season back in League Two, he is hoping Garner can remain a part of it.
"We're still speaking to him," Mellon told The Oldham Times. "We'll see where that one goes.
"We've said we wanted to work with him again and Joe will be negotiating that with the recruitment guys."
Latics offered new deals to out of contract players Manny Monthe, Jake Leake, Frankie McMahon-Brown and Reagan Ogle.
Defender Monthe has signed a new two-year deal, while Ogle has returned to Scunthorpe United on a one-year contract, but the futures of Leake, McMahon-Brown and Garner have yet to be confirmed.
