A sweet shop is offering free samples as part of a summer event.
Ambala, one of the UK’s oldest South Asian confectionery brands, is inviting customers to its Oldham store for a summer sampling day on Saturday, July 4.
The event will take place between 12pm and 3pm at Ambala’s Oldham branch on Ashton Road, with parallel events at its Manchester and Rochdale stores.
Sukh Chamdal, CEO of Ambala, said: "Summer is all about bringing people together, and food plays such an important role in those shared moments.
"We wanted to give customers a reason to visit their local Ambala, enjoy something sweet on us and experience the mithai that has been part of celebrations for generations.
"From weddings and festivals to thoughtful gifts and everyday treats, our stores have always played a role in helping people mark meaningful moments.
"This summer event is a chance to thank our customers and welcome new shoppers through our doors."
Visitors will be able to enjoy free samples of traditional mithai and savoury snacks, including Ambala’s latest creation, Khoye ki Barfi, made with 100 per cent buffalo milk.
During the event, customers who spend more than £20 in-store will also receive two complimentary savoury items from the shop’s new range, which includes samosas, spring rolls, and pakoras.
With more than 30 stores nationwide, Ambala hopes the event will introduce even more people to its wide selection of traditional sweets and snacks.
The brand is encouraging customers to pick up treats for family occasions, festivals, or to simply enjoy a sweet bite over the weekend.
