Mark Owen thanks fans after Take That Circus Tour 2026

The Take That singer, who grew up on Copster Hill Road in Oldham, posted a video message on social media following the conclusion of the 2026 stadium tour.

Mr Owen said: "Hi everyone.

"It’s Mark here, and I just wanted to come on and say thank you to everyone who came to see us on the Circus tour.

"What an amazing time we have had, and getting to perform for you and be part of such a wonderful show.

"It’s been an absolute joy to look out and see your faces out there and be part of something so special.

"We will hold it in our hearts forever.

"The cast, the crew, everybody who’s been involved has been absolutely amazing.

"I want to say thank you to Howard and Gary for all the hard work and love, and yeah, we’re moving on to a new record now."

The Circus tour was a revival of Take That’s 2009 Circus Live tour, promoting their album The Circus.

The 2026 tour, branded The Circus Live – Summer 2026, brought back the same circus-themed spectacle and set design.

Born and raised in Oldham, Mr Owen spent his early life in a small council house with his parents, Mary and Keith and siblings, Daniel and Tracey.

He attended Holy Rosary Primary School and St Augustine’s Catholic School and served as an altar boy at Holy Rosary church.

Before joining Take That, Mr Owen worked locally at Zuttis boutique and Barclays Bank.

The family home on Copster Hill Road became a landmark in the early 1990s during Take That’s rise to fame, drawing fans from around the UK and beyond.

Groups of young fans would regularly gather outside the house, hoping to catch a glimpse of the star.

Some brought letters and gifts, while others simply wanted to take photographs at what became a pop culture landmark.

Take That Present: The Circus Live was the band’s seventh concert tour, a stadium-only, theatrical production featuring circus performers, acrobats, stilt-walkers, clowns, and a 30-foot mechanical elephant.

The show opened with Greatest Day and included hits such as Pray, A Million Love Songs, Back for Good, Shine, and Never Forget.

The 2026 tour began at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on May 29 and continued through major stadiums in Coventry, Sunderland, Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, and London before concluding at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on July 4.

Each venue held tens of thousands of fans, with Manchester and London hosting multiple nights due to high demand.

The original Circus tour in 2009 attracted more than one million fans and sold 600,000 tickets in under five hours.

The 2026 shows were similarly popular, and several dates in Manchester were live-streamed, setting a new record as the most-watched UK live-streamed event to date.
