A road closure has been announced for Kiln Lane in Milnrow.

Rochdale Borough Council will implement the temporary order for a section from Bridge Street to Crossgates Road, covering 490 metres.

Wildhouse Lane, from Kiln Lane to Croft Head Drive, will also be affected over a 330-metre stretch.

Works commence on July 27 and are expected to conclude on August 17, although the roads may reopen earlier if the resurfacing is completed ahead of schedule.

The closure is to allow for carriageway resurfacing.

The restrictions, which also prevent waiting at any point in the affected areas, will be in place from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays, and from 8am to 6pm on weekends.

An alternative route has been established for those impacted by the closure.
