A road in Grasscroft will be temporarily closed for gas main replacement works.

High Grove Road will be shut from its junction with Elsted Road to its junction with Highbank Crescent.

The alternative route is via Mossley Road, Oldham Road, Shaw Hall Bank Road, and Church Road.

The closure will start on July 27 and is expected to last for 19 days, although it will reopen sooner if the works are completed earlier.

Oldham Borough Council made the temporary order on July 23 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.

A copy of the order can be viewed at the office of the council's representative, Alan Evans, at J R Clynes Building, Greaves Street, Oldham, between 8.40am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
