A 23-year-old man has been charged following two alleged sexual assaults in Rochdale on Saturday.

Harvey Symes, of Simeon Street in Milnrow, has been charged with two counts of attempted rape and threats to kill.

He is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

The first incident, which took place at Broadfield Park, was reported to police at 6.15am on Saturday, and the second at Milnrow Memorial Park was reported at 8.38am the same morning.

Both women provided similar descriptions of the attacker, who was unknown to both victims.
