Shocking pictures have been shared showing the car fire that occurred on Agnes Street, Chadderton, as police investigate the incident.
A man was seen acting "suspiciously" around Agnes Street, Chadderton, at around 7.30am on Tuesday, July 28, before approaching a car and setting it on fire.
Extensive damage was caused to the vehicle as well as two other cars parked nearby, but no injuries were reported.
Now, pictures shared by police have shown the extent of the damage as well as the size of the fire.
One image shows the car was completely burnt out, while damage to a property can be seen in the background.
Another picture shows a large fire ball with smoke emitting from the blaze.
Investigators believe the fire was a targeted incident and are treating the incident as arson with intent to endanger life.
Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious, is being urged to come forward as police investigate the incident.
