An Oldham woman has been sentenced by a court for possessing an XL Bully.
Emma Maddock appeared at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Monday (August 3), where she pleaded guilty to having custody of a fighting dog.
The court heard the 45-year-old was in possession of an XL Bully called Kenzo as of March 14 this year.
It is illegal in the UK to breed, sell and advertise XL Bullys, along with allowing the dogs to be in public without a muzzle or a lead.

Maddock, of Irwell Walk, was ordered to pay court costs of £1,000, along with a fine of £40 and a victim surcharge of £24.
A contingent destruction order was made for Kenzo to be put down unless it is exempted.
