Trailers for this year’s Halloween specials from Eastenders, Corrie and Emmerdale have been released, and they promise to be spookier and as dramatic as ever.

Soaps usually pull out all the stops for the festive season and this year looks no different.

Here’s everything you need to know about the soaps and how to watch the episodes.

Emmerdale

Emmerdale’s chilling trailer for Halloween week promises not to disappoint, with killer Meena Jutla striking again.

The trailer sees Meena dressed as the grim reaper in a cornfield maze, where villagers are lost.

ITV confirms ‘no one is safe’ as Meena says: “There’s no way out.”

Producer Kate Brook said: "As the twists and turns come thick and fast, viewers will be left on the edge of their seats, and with Meena at the heart of the story it means only one thing; not all our villagers will survive.

Emmerdale usually airs on ITV on Mondays – Fridays at 7pm, while a double bill is usually scheduled on Tuesdays or Thursdays. You can also watch via the ITV Hub.

Coronation Street

Revenge is on the cards on Coronation Street this October, with the Halloween week beginning on Monday October 18.

The trailer, released on YouTube, shows drug lord Harvey Gaskell returning from an overturned prison van seeking revenge against Leanne Battersby, who is shown to be tied up and blindfolded outside.

Character Abi Franklin is also plotting revenge, setting plans in motion to have her son’s murderer killed.

Dubbed ‘Horror Nation Street Week’, the soap promises to deliver a dark and thrilling week of drama.

Coronation Street is usually aired on ITV on Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, Wednesday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, and Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm. You can also watch via the ITV Hub.

Eastenders

The East End promises to deliver a Halloween week to remember.

The psychopathic Gray manipulating Whitney without her knowing after the death of his dad, viewers will be on the edge of their seat watching their romance unfold.

Janine’s notoriously cunning side comes out after she is turned down for a job at the car lot.

Viewers will be left questioning who to trust what is sure to be a gripping week on the Square.

Eastenders usually airs on BBC One on Monday at  8pm, Tuesday at 7.30pm, Thursday at 7.35pm and Friday at 8pm.
