OLDHAM moved up to third in Betfred League 1 with their third win in a row.
After an evenly-matched first 20 minutes Roughyeds pulled away smartly with four tries by Dave Hewitt, Danny Langtree touching down twice and sub hooker Matty Wilkinson another one to lead 22-0 at half-time.
Coventry, a young squad that prides itself on its fitness, strength and speed, out-scored the home side 18-12 in the second half, but Scott Naylor's men had done too much in the first half to be seriously threatened.
Danny Bridge and Ritchie Hawkyard added second-half tries for Oldham, Paul Crook finishing with five conversions from six attempts overall.
Langtree won the man-of-the-match award and Titus Gwaze won champagne-moment because of his clever pass in the tackle to send in Hewitt for the opening try.
