Oldham Athletic have signed goalkeeper Gary Woods on a two-year deal.

The 28-year-old arrives at Boundary Park having left Hamilton Academical where he made 93 appearances across three years with the club.

Woods was also a  Scottish League Cup winner with Ross County in 2016 while on loan with the Dingwall outfit.

Prior to heading north of the border he was part of the Doncaster Rovers squad that won the League One title in 2013.

Spells at Watford and Leyton Orient followed before he headed up to Scotland.

Woods is Latics third summer signing after the capture of Morecambe’s player of the year, right back Zak Mills, and the decision to make Alex Iacovitti’s loan spell from Nottingham Forest a permanent move.
