SWINTON Lions have agreed to allow Oldham to keep winger Harry Aaronson until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old joined Oldham initially on a month’s loan but will now stay until the Roughyeds 2019 campaign comes to an end.

Reared on rugby at Saddleworth Rangers, Oldham-born Aaronson was in the academy at Huddersfield Giants before joining Swinton Lions.

He spent the 2018 season at Keighley Cougars, then went back to the Lions, who have agreed to extend his loan at Oldham.

Both clubs and the player had to agree before it could go through.

“I’m really happy here,” said Aaronson. “It’s a good club and the lads have welcomed me with open arms.”

Oldham coach Scott Naylor added: “Harry’s improving week by week and we’re really pleased to extend his loan.

“Apart from playing well he’s a good lad to have around the dressing room.”
