A MUCH-CHANGED Oldham team raced to their eighth win in nine outings when winning 50-6 against Coventry Bears in Rugby on Sunday.

Leaders Whitehaven and third-placed Newcastle also won, so with one game left in the regular Betfred League 1 season it's no-change at the top.

Fourth-placed Hunslet lost at home to Workington Town but the clash of the Yorkshiremen and Oldham at the South Leeds Stadium next Sunday will still be "massive", according to Roughyeds skipper Gareth Owen.

Oldham need to win to guarantee at least a second-place finish while Hunslet must win to ensure a fourth-place finish with Doncaster breathing down their necks.

Scott Naylor's men led 24-0 at half-time against Coventry and finished with nine tries by Liam Bent, Danny Langtree (two), Adam Brook, Jack Holmes, Kyran Johnson, Declan Kay, Phil Joy and Ben Davies plus seven goals by Paul Crook.
