OLDHAM have confirmed the signing of former loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson following his release by Manchester United.

The deal, which has been expected for several weeks, sees the left back sign a one-year deal at Boundary Park.

The 23-year-old made six appearances during his previous spell with Latics.

He is the third signing of the day, former loanee Carl Piergianni also completing a permanent Oldham switch with ex-Wycombe defender Sido Jombati the other player snapped up.

"I'm really pleased to be back at the club and can't wait to get going again,” Borthwick-Jackson.

"I enjoyed my loan spell last season and I'm pleased I've got another opportunity now to build on that and show the fans more of what I can do.

"I'll give 100% commitment again and I'm focused on getting regular game time as part of a strong defensive unit."

Borthwick-Jackson has also had loan spells with Wolves, Leeds, Scunthorpe and Tranmere.

He made 14 first-team appearances for United in all including six Premier League starts.
