OLDHAM have made Bobby Grant their latest summer signing – the attacking midfielder joining from Wrexham on a season-long loan.

The 30-year-old has extensive Football League experience with Scunthorpe, Rochdale, Shrewsbury and Accrington Stanley among others.

Having started his career with the Reds he returned to the Wham Stadium last season on loan for a third spell with John Coleman’s side.

Grant’s year at Boundary Park will take him to the end of his current Wrexham contract.

He is the fifth new arrival for new Latics head coach Harry Kewell following the signings of Sido Jombati, Carl Piergianni, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Ian Lawlor.

Grant told the Oldham website: “The excitement I got from the gaffer in the way he wants to play, the style of play and the enthusiasm it was a no-brainer for me.

"I just can't wait to get going in this new challenge. It's been a long break because of what is going on in the world but as I say, I'm proper excited to go and meet the lads and get stuck into it.

"I'll definitely score goals and I'm not one to shy away from that. I like the pressure and I have a lot of confidence in my own ability as well as the environment to help the club win football matches.”
