BRADFORD City are now in pole position to land Leeds United striker, Ryan Edmondson, on loan for the remainder of the season.

Leeds had sent Edmondson up to Scotland for the first-half of the 2020/21 campaign, with the striker linking up with Aberdeen who are also keen for him to return north of the border.

Edmondson scored two goals and registered two assists in 14 Scottish Premiership appearances, as well as playing in the Europa League. However, he is heading back to Leeds this month and could go back out on loan, with the Bantams favourites to land the 19-year-old.

COLCHESTER United have money to spend and are weighing up the option of both loan and permanent signings in this month’s transfer window.

The U’s are on the lookout for a new forward following the departure of striker Luke Norris to League Two rivals Stevenage, last week.

Colchester boss Steve Ball said there are targets in place but has yet to name them.

JAKE Taylor is close to sealing a permanent transfer to Port Vale, ending a six-year association with Nottingham Forest.

Taylor spent the whole of last season on loan at Vale Park where he scored five league goals in 18 appearances.

A permanent switch to the Valiants now looks likely.
