DAVIS Keillor-Dunn has had his Latics contract extended by 12 months, to the summer of 2022.
The 23-year-old has triggered an appearance-based clause in his contract, which has been agreed by both the player and the club.
And, although there is still plenty of football to be played this season, Keillor-Dunn's new deal helps to lay the foundations for next term as he follows team-mates Dylan Bahamboula, Raphael Diarra and Kyle Jameson in agreeing new terms ahead of the summer.
The No.10 has made a total of 41 appearances and scored nine goals since arriving from Wrexham.
Of his new deal, he said: "The club have decided to exercise the option in my contract which I am very grateful for.
"This has ultimately given me the chance to play a lot of games and have a strong season personally, so I'm happy my performances have been able to be rewarded."
