LATICS have exercised an option in Dylan Fage’s contract to extended his Boundary Park deal for another season.

The Frenchman is now tied to the club until the end of the 2021/22 campaign having joined back in the summer of 2019.

Following Tom Hamer’s move to Burton in January, the turnover of players at Boundary Park is such that Fage became the longest serving player at the club.

The 22-year-old former Auxerre man has made 53 appearances for Oldham in all, 38 coming this season.

Fage joins Davis Keillor-Dunn, Dylan Bahmboula, Kyle Jameson and Raphael Diarra in agreeing a new deal in recent weeks.

Head coach Keith Curle said: “He's very dynamic and can be an exciting player that’s still learning his trade in a relatively new position as well.

"He’s got a turn of pace with trickery which is good on the eye. Also, he can turn midfield and possession-based dominance into an attack at the drop of a hat.

“He's got a great attitude towards learning and developing which is pleasing and now he's had a couple of season's here to settle he can start to improve more."
