Greenfield picked up their first win of the season with three-wicket triumph at Moorside in the GMCL Premier Division.

The hosts were all out for 192 batting first, Jamil Khalil taking 3-23 and sub professional James Price 3-36.

In reply, Greenfield saw Joseph Aston make 51 and Jake Caudwell 42 as they got home with four balls to spare.

Alcindo Holder’s 110 helped Heyside see off Egerton in a high-scoring game elsewhere in the top flight.

Declan Dudley had made 120 and professional Janith Liyanage 81 in Egerton’s 273-9. But Holder let the way in reply, as the host got over the line by two wickets with an over in hand.

Glodwick went down to a six-wicket defeat at Astley and Tyldesley, posting 172 as Arkam Zeer top scored with 44.

A&T wrapped up the win with more than seven overs to spare, Zeer also taking two wickets.

In Premier 2, Woodhouses tasted defeat for the first time this season in a three-wicket defeat at Stand.

Chris Williams took 5-29 as the visitors were all out for 101, Stand securing victory inside 34 overs.

In Premier 2, Royton were well beaten by 130 runs at home to Flowery Field, all out for 137 in pursuit of 267-7, Kervon Christmas taking 5-63.

Shaw were big winners in the Championship, sealing a 141-run win at Swinton Moorside.

Lincoln Roberts made an unbeaten 80 from just 67 balls as the visitors posted 248-7, Graeme Simpson 4-51 and Jack Boyle 4-52 then doing the damage as the hosts were all out for 107.

Uppermill went down to a 95-run defeat at Elton, Jonny Birkett top scoring with 61 and Matthew Ward making 53 as the Bury side were all out for 223, Andrew Jones taking 4-65.

Dave Roberts then made 52 in reply but Uppermill came up well short, dismissed for 128, Chris Barlow the pick of the bowlers with 4-44.

Friarmere lost by five wickets at home to Heaton.

The hosts were all out for 136, Nathan Walker top scored with 45 in a total of 136 but Heaton got over the line with ease despite Ayed Asad Ali Rizvi taking 3-42.

In Division One, Austerlands were hammered in a 259-run defeat at Mottram, all out for 91 in pursuit of 350-5. Oldham were also well beaten by eight wickets at home to Denton after being bowled out for 102.

In Division 2B, there were wins for Saddleworth, by seven wickets at home to Whalley Range 2s, and Werneth, who saw off Denton West 2s by 14 runs.

Micklehurst lost by 34 runs at Denton St Lawrence 2s, and Ashton went down to a seven-wicket defeat against Glossop 2s. Ashton Ladysmith beat Springhead 2s by 146 runs in Division 4E.
