UPPERMILL’S David Roberts shone with bat and ball as his side won a low-scoring Greater Manchester Cricket League Division One derby clash against Saddleworth by 16 runs.
Batting first, hosts Uppermill were all out for just 98 with Roberts (44) scoring almost half of their total. Saddleworth’s Muhammad Shakir took fine figures of 7-31 from his 14 overs.
It looked a small target but Roberts took 4-32 and Kyle Hogg (5-33) a ‘fifer’ as Saddleworth were skittled out for just 82.
Daniel Poole top scored fro them with 19 as only three players reached double figures.
