Oldham Athletic's FA Trophy fourth round tie with Gateshead is subject to a pitch inspection.
Periods of torrential rain over recent days has affected the Boundary Park surface, and with more rain forecast today and tomorrow there is no guarantee it will be able to suitably drain.
The club has this afternoon confirmed there will be a pitch inspection at 8am tomorrow (Saturday).
The match referee will make his assessment on whether the pitch is playable or not before the Gateshead squad and management staff set off.
This tie was originally due to be played at the Gateshead International Stadium after Latics were drawn away, having beaten Peterborough Sports in a penalty shoot-out in the third round.
However, the tie was switched due to floodlight repairs at Gateshead's ground.
Latics have yet to play the Heed having had their home game twice postponed. The original fixture was scheduled for November 8 but was put back to December 20 due to Oldham's involvement in the FA Cup, with their first round tie at Wrexham being moved to Sunday November 6 for broadcast purposes, leaving too tight a turnaround for the league programme.
The rescheduled game was then postponed because Gateshead's FA Trophy tie with Gloucester took precedence.
