Jayson Leutwiler has completed his move from Latics to League One club Port Vale.

The goalkeeper joined Oldham Athletic on a three-year deal in the summer of 2021, under former boss Keith Curle, but was limited to cup competition appearances last season and did not feature at all in the National League.

The 34-year-old, whose previous clubs include Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough, fell further down the goalkeeping pecking order following the arrival of Mat Hudson from Buxton in December last year.

A statement from Oldham Athletic said: "The club can confirm that a mutual agreement has been reached for the transfer of Jayson Leutwiler to Port Vale.

"The former Blackburn and Huddersfield goalkeeper joined Latics in June 2021, making 30 appearances during his time at Boundary Park.

"We'd like to wish Jayson all the best in his future career."

Canada international Leutwiler had a false start to his Latics career as an administerial error under the previous regime meant that he was ineligible to start the 2021/22 season.
