Avro slipped to a late 2-1 defeat at Bootle on Saturday despite taking an early lead, writes Louie Kennedy.
Liam Ellis gave The RO a13th-minute lead with a tremendous long-range strike that caught the home keeper off guard as it sailed in to the net.
However, Bootle equalised just fives minutes later with a great goal of their own when Jack Lenehan scored direct from a free kick.
The rest of the half was a cagey affair with yellow cards going both ways and Shenton making a spectacular save in the 30th minute.
In the final minute of the first half, Dwyer headed over the bar off the back of a free kick and the game was tied up with 45 minutes to go.
Both sides came out of the changing rooms and back onto the pitch determined to provide the difference maker.
Midway through the second half, Avro applied pressure with Benito Lowe and Darren Ehimamiegho both coming off the bench to bolster the visitor's attack.
But the three points would ultimately go to Bootle as The Bucks closed out the game in the 82nd minute thanks to a Michael Burkey goal.
Soon after, the referee blew his whistle for the final time and the homeside came off the park with a 2-1 victory.
Liam Ellis was awarded the man of the match accolades for The Visitors while the home side chose Anthony Miley.
Avro are 19th in the table having won one of their opening five games
The RO’ will next be in action away in Yorkshire at Liversedge this Saturday.
