Oldham Athletic will kick off their new season at home to Newport County.

Latics are then handed back-to-back away trips in League Two at Bradford and Bristol Rovers.

August closes out with games at home to Colchester before a first trip for Oldham fans to Sutton United, in the EFL for the first time in their history after winning the National League title.

Fellow promoted side Hartlepool visit Boundary Park on September 18 with the first meeting of the season with Rochdale coming seven days later at Spotland. The reverse fixture takes place on January 29.

The first encounter with Salford does not come until a trip to the Peninsula Stadium on November 27, the game at Boundary Park taking place on April 23.

Christmas sees Latics host Scunthorpe on Boxing Day, travel to Barrow on December 29 and head up to Hartlepool on New Year’s Day.

Easter brings a home game with Keith Curle’s former club Northampton on Good Friday, April 15, before a trip to Forest Green Rovers on Monday, April 18.

The season ends at home to Crawley on May 7.

Latics will find out their opponents in the first round of the Carabao Cup this afternoon, the draw taking place at 3.40pm.

At 4.30pm, the Under-21 side will be added to Oldham’s Papa John’s Trophy group that already includes fellow League Two sides Tranmere and Salford.
