ANDREA Badan has left Oldham Athletic by mutual consent.

The defender was signed on a free transfer last September having left Carrarese in his native Italy.

He went on to make 20 appearances for Latics, but had not featured at all this season. Indeed, he was only named once in a League Two matchday squad.

The 23-year-old was among the unused substitutes in Carabao Cup wins over Tranmere and Accrington Stanley.

A club statement read: "Oldham Athletic can confirm that Andrea Badan has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

"The Italian defender made a total of 20 appearances in all competitions since joining back in September 2020 and the club would like to thank Andrea for his service and wish him well going forwards."
