OLDHAM Athletic have this morning confirmed that Harrison McGahey has had his contract with the club ratified by the English Football League and will be available to make his debut against his former club, Rochdale, on Saturday.
The defender originally signed in the summer but his two-year contract was disputed by the EFL under the conditions of their monitored loan agreement with the club.
McGahey, who picked up a pre-season injury, has been re-negotiating with the club and has reached an agreement which the EFL have approved, meaning he can go straight into the squad to face Rochdale, at Spotland, on the eve of his 26th birthday.
A club statement read: "After overcoming injury in the early part of the campaign as well as his registration being amended in-line with the EFL monitored loan, the club are pleased to announce that Harrison is now available for selection going forwards.
"Oldham Athletic would like to thank Harrison, his representatives and the EFL for their patience and assistance throughout."
