JOHN Sheridan has the same squad from Tuesday's draw at Crawley to choose from when Latics take on Carlisle United tomorrow, with Dylan Bahamboula also available after suspension.

January signing Mike Fondop is facing a spell on the sidelines after surgery on his groin.

And Sheridan was frustrated that the forward had announced the news via social media.

"He's come out with things he shouldn't have come out with really. Obviously he's injured but he's not giving me the opportunity to explain, he's explained it himself. I'm a bit disappointed in the way that's been gone about but it is what it is,” said the Latics head coach.

“Unfortunately he's injured.”

Asked how long he expected to be without Fondop, Sheridan added: "That's an answer I'd like to give you but I don't know.

"I'd have to talk to the physio and get some more feedback.”

Latics have clocked up the miles with back-to-back trips to Colchester and Crawley in the space of four days, but Sheridan is pleased with the way his players have coped with the lengthy travel times.

"We've had two long trips, getting back late but luckily we got two good results and we're looking forward to the game on Saturday," he said.

"Everyone's fit and available. You've just got to be wary if you have long trips and you're sitting on the bus and getting back late, it's long hours, we just look after them. We've been relaxing and we'll work on the shape of the team (today) and show the videos and get ready for Carlisle.

"We've got to try to look after them. They're long trips but you've just got to keep them fit and keep training as short as possible because you just want them out on the pitch on match day.

"We do the best we can with them and hopefully they'll all be okay."
