Greenfield beat Glodwick by two wickets in a low-scoring game in the GMCL Premier Division on Saturday.

The visitors were all out for 116, Ayaz Tasawar and Bradley Woolley both finishing with four wickets.

Arkam Zeer took 5-36 in the reply but Greenfield got over the line as Joseph Aston top scored with 40 at the top of the order before Woolley made an important unbeaten 27 late on to see his side home.

Vataly Wilkinson scored an unbeaten 111 from just 77 balls as Moorside picked up a nine-wicket win at home to Flixton.

Imran Khan also finished not out on 67 in their 205-1 having earlier taken 5-42.

Alcindo Holder was another centurion, making 123 for Heyside, but they were no match for Denton St Lawrence, the defending champions chasing down 258 for a seven-wicket victory that took them top of the table.

In Premier 2, Woodhouses went down to an eight-wicket defeat at Denton West after being bowled out for 135.

Royton also tasted defeat, going down by four wickets at home to Stand in a game where they were dismissed for 85.

Shaw saw their lead at the top of the Championship cut slightly despite their four-wicket victory at Uppermill, as Heaton, Brooksbottom and Swinton Moorside all secured winning bonus points to keep it very tight at the top.

Kyle Hogg made 76 in Uppermill’s 153 as Dilanka Sandakan took 6-29. Jack Pilling, 47, and Lincoln Roberts, 41, then top scored as Shaw got over the line.

Austerlands moved into the top half of Division One with a big 148-run victory over Golborne, defending 288-5 as professional Imran Rafiq made an unbeaten 113 and took 3-23.

Oldham also won comfortably by 114 runs at Prestwich 2s.

In Division 2B Saddleworth continued their winning start, now victorious in all of their eight completed games, after a 48-run win over Denton West 2s, although they fought well to earn a losing bonus point when chasing 282.

Micklehurst chased exactly that target in a thriller against Littleborough Lakeside. Liam Garnett scored 90 as the home side got over the line with two wickets remaining.

Glodwick 2s won by four wickets at Ashton, chasing 230 for victory.

Werneth also posted a good total, 254-9 as Dildar Shahzad made an unbeaten 126, but went down down to a five-wicket defeat at Wythenshawe.

Springhead lost by two wickets at Whalley Range.

In Division 4E it was a day of centurions.

Mitesh Patel made 143 as Ashton Ladysmith posted a mammoth 378-4 in their 166-run win at Stayley 2s.

Liam Maddocks finished unbeaten on 105 for Failsworth Macedonia as they won by 74 runs at Ashton 2s.
