An Oldham man has received a football banning order after entering the pitch during an Oldham Athletic game last season.

Charlie Chrisham, of Wildbrook Crescent, Fitton Hill, entered the field of play at Glanford Park in Scunthorpe during the Latics' 2-0 win against the North Lincolnshire club on Monday, April 10.

On Wednesday, November 1 at Grimbsy Magistrates' Court, the 20-year-old pleaded guilty to going on to the playing area at a football match, which is a breach of the Football Offences Act 1991.

As part of his banning order, which prevents him from attending any football match in that time, Chrisham cannot attend any town where Oldham are playing between four hours prior to kick-off and three hours after the end of the match.

For any game that the Latics play in London, he must not go within a five-mile radius of the stadium.

The order also states that for any match played by the England's senior men's or women's teams, Chrisham cannot enter the town, city or parish boundary where the match is being played for a period between eight hours before kick-off and eight hours after kick-off.
