Two Saddleworth cafes make list of those for sale in Oldham

Hundreds of customers will be devastated when these establishments change hands from their current owners who have each helped celebrate their communities.

Two of them can be found in Saddleworth, while the others are located in Chadderton and Hollins.

Demanding the least amount of money is Kilroy's Kitchen, on Hollins Road in Hollins.

For just £19,950, investors could takeover the cafe which has a turnover of £70,200.

Kilroy's Kitchen, which seats 20 customers with an additional eight al fresco seating and boasts of a five hygiene rating, has been run by its current owner since 2015.

Next up, is Uppermill's Fika, which has placed on the market after seven years of trading for £54,950.

The High Street cafe is much-loved by those who visit it, including Stephen Kennedy who left a recent review on Google.

He said: "Brilliant cafe stop this, in our case a cycle stop from Huddersfield.

"The staff are brilliant, couldn't be more helpful. Food is good quality, plentiful, and excellent value. What's not to like? Five stars."

Fika has an al fresco seating area for 10, plus seating for customers 30 inside on the top floor, while downstairs has ample space - enough for an additional 40 people.

The spacious cafe also offers views of the River Tame and has a turnover of £98,800 a year.

The penultimate cafe on the list, is Station Brew, Greenfield, which has been listed on BusinessesForSale.com for £59,950.

The Shaw Hall Bank Road premises which wowed The Oldham Times' reporter Jack Fifield who visited last month.

In his review, Jack wrote: "Generously filled toasties are made with award-winning artisan bread from Roger’s Bakery in Marsden, providing a satisfying crunch without feeling stale."

Chadderton's Baytree Flowers & Coffeehouse makes up the list, and is hoping to fetch £219,950 from potential investors - which owner Emma Chadwick explained the price reflects the building, as well as the coffee shop and florist.

In the eight years that Baytree Flowers and Coffeehouse has traded, Oldhamers have grown to love the brand.

However, last summer the 42-year-old made the difficult decision to list her Middleton Road store on the market with BusinessesForSale due to an ongoing battle with a chronic disease.

Despite the businesses opening hours changing to suit Emma's health, it has an annual turnover of £73,406.
